A Brief History

Motorsave is an independent family-run garage. We started our business repairing vehicles in 1988 on the mobile bases, quickly expanding to 4 transit mobile repair vehicles, eventually bringing the business in house to a small garage on Labtec Street, Swinton, with 4 ramps. We have now moved to our current premises, Barkan Way, Swinton, and due to the volume of work have a workshop housing 11 ramps, 3 MOT bays and a wash bay. This enables us to give our customers the best level of service, looking after the driver as well as the vehicle, as standard.

The Team

At Motorsave we have a team of approx 20 employees all at different levels; from apprentices to fully-trained technicians. Tony Cole, Reception Manager, overseas all front of house operations, with a team of 4 staff. He ensures customer service is followed and all customers are happy with the service received - from receiving the vehicle, parts orders, communication with customers and finally invoicing.

Frank Carrig is the workshop Manager with a team of 4 apprentices, 2 improvers and 6 fully trained engineers. He is responsible for your vehicle in the workshop. His team will check your vehicle thoroughly, report any problems and repair and maintain to the highest standards before handing it back to reception washed and vacuumed ready to be received by the customer.

Mark Smeeton and Maxine Smeeton the MD’s of Motorsave oversee the whole operation. As a family run business that cares, they ensure we deliver the best possible service at a reasonable cost in a friendly, approachable manner which makes us very different to main dealerships.
